thank you! The failure of Láadan to take hold culturally in the way that more masculine, martial-oriented fantasy languages have (eg Klingon or Dothraki) was Elgin's great disappointment in life. She thought it pointed to the stranglehold that patriarchy has on our imaginations. This makes me so sad and I hope I can do my part in life to honor the amazing gift of her language and the analysis that gave rise to it!
